Flourless Pancakes are too easy! Here’s a quick favourite that we always go to when looking for a healthy alternative to pancakes. These are more of a sweet omelette but their consistency and size is much like that of a pancake. When we make them we prefer thick and fluffy, but you can easily make them thin like a crepe and roll them up with your favourite toppings. Either way they look impressive, are very easy to make – only needing 3 ingredients, and ensure a quick clean up – which is just as important as the delicious taste!

Adriana loves these for breakfast, but has also been known to sneak them in as a dessert – and why wouldn’t you?! Continue reading

I was invited to a pot luck lunch at a friends place on the weekend, and I love a get together that revolves around food! My biggest problem when asked to events like these is what on earth to make – So many choices!

Sadly not everyone shares my passion for raw desserts, and my last suggestion that I would bring a raw lemon tart was met with less enthusiasm than I’d hoped. (It seems the term ‘raw dessert’ is automatically associated with something that mustn’t be very tasty, when in fact so many raw desserts are incredibly delicious, so much so that even my husband, the constructively critical foodie, prefers them over a regular dessert!) With the sun shining these last few days and the weather warming up you just know summer’s just around the corner. Best to find that sunscreen in the bathroom cupboard, or pop out to buy a new one so you don’t get caught out with that early season sunburn! But there’s been a lot of controversy around what sunscreens are safest, why natural over others, UVA vs UVB protection,15+ vs 50+, and what about infants and young children, or Vitamin D exposure? Healthy chocolate mousse anyone?

It’s after dinner, and there’s a hankering for dessert. But you shouldn’t right? Because dessert is bad right? Doesn’t have to be!

If you’ve been anywhere around the whole-foods scene then you would have no doubt come across a version of chocolate mousse made from avocados. You know the type I mean – Have you tried making it? Well if you haven’t, didn’t think it was as good as it promised to be, or in fact are sitting there like I did the first time I heard of it re-reading that sentence going “chocolate mousse made from avocado’s – what?” – well have I got a treat for you.
